Hello. In BW2, I caught a Gothita with a Mild nature with the trait “Highly Curious”. I just want to know if I should keep going for Modest because not only do I want to use it for my team, but also for the Battle Subway, PWT, and for competitive battling. I want to add a Gothita when it evolves into Gothorita, and then eventually Gothitelle. Thank you.

My Gothita:
Female
Mild: (+ SpA - Def)
Ability: Frisk
Lv. 22
- Fake Tears
- Double Slap
- Psybeam
- Embargo

Everybody else's Gothitelle is going to have Modest and perfect IVs. Enjoy your playthrough without worrying about how mons you caught from the wild are going to translate competitively.
If you do want to use a Gothitelle in competitive BW2, you should probably be more concerned about its ability than its nature.

If you're going to play competitively, I recommend getting a Gothitelle with Modest nature, perfect IVs and the Shadow Tag ability. But if you're only going to use it in a playthrough, Mild nature should work just fine. It's not optimal, Modest is just better than it, but Natures are not really worth worrying about in a casual playthrough unless they lower one of your main attacking stats. I have also seen Calm nature on it in Smogon Doubles OU in order to survive Dragon Gem Latios Draco Meteor. In singles, the BW OU Smogon Analysis reccomends Modest to deal as much damage as possible.
TLDR: Modest is usually the most optimal nature for Gothitelle in competitive play, but Mild is good enough for a casual playthrough. Mild nature on Gothitelle is strictly suboptimal compared to Modest.

If you want your Gothitelle to learn Psychic moves (and other type moves) that have the special attack category, then you should go for the Modest nature (+SpA -A)

If you want your Gothitelle to learn Psychic moves (and other type moves) that have the attack category, you might want to stick with the Mild nature. Do keep in mind that you'll lose defence points though, and if you want Gothitelle to have higher defence, then I'd reccommend not to have Mild Nature.

I hope this helps :)

I think OP knows these things and is asking whether Mild is good enough for their purposes.
Gothitelle has no real use for its attack stat due to being much better off as a special attacker, so there are no real benefits to Mild nature on Gothitelle over Modest.
