Choice Band Sweeper

Arcanine-Hisui @ Choice Band
Ability: Rock Head
Tera Type: Fire / Normal
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Head Smash
- Flare Blitz
- Close Combat / Wild Charge
- Extreme Speed

Hisuian Arcanine is an extremely strong attacker, with access to Rock Head, allowing it to throw off STAB moves as powerful as Head Smash and Flare Blitz with no recoil. Head Smash is as accurate as Stone Edge while being a much stronger option. Flare Blitz is strong Fire STAB. Close Combat is coverage against Rock types, while Wild Charge is coverage against Water types. Extreme Speed picks off weakened targets. Tera Fire powers up Flare Blitz to soaring heights, while Tera Normal gives Arcanine better defensive capability while simultaneously allowing it to sweep weakened teams with a powered up Extreme Speed.

Gen 9 OU Scarfed Cleaner

Arcanine-Hisui @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Rock Head
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Flare Blitz
- Head Smash
- Wild Charge
- Close Combat

Pretty self-explanatory set, basically the same as non-eSpeed Band sets but with Adamant and Scarf. Head Smash & Flare Blitz for Rock Head & STAB, CC & Wild Charge with Rock Head serve as necessary coverage.

  • 252+ Atk Arcanine-Hisui Flare Blitz vs. 252 HP / 172+ Def Amoonguss: 390-458 (90.2 - 106%) -- guaranteed OHKO after Stealth Rock
  • 252+ Atk Arcanine-Hisui Head Smash vs. 252 HP / 192+ Def Toxapex: 136-162 (44.7 - 53.2%) -- 87.5% chance to 2HKO after Stealth Rock and Leftovers recovery
  • 252+ Atk Arcanine-Hisui Close Combat vs. 252 HP / 4 Def Ursaluna: 252-298 (54.3 - 64.2%) -- guaranteed 2HKO

Gen 9 OU

Arcanine-Hisui @ Heavy-Duty Boots
Ability: Rock Head
Tera Type: Rock / Flying
EVs: 252 Atk, 4 Def, 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Head Smash
- Flare Blitz
- Stealth Rock
- Will-O-Wisp

Not as good as many expected it to be, but pretty good. Head Smash and Flare Blitz are great STAB moves. Stealth Rock is good on this Pokemon because of its ability to threaten Great Tusk and Corviknight with Flare Blitz and Will-O-Wisp, making hazard removal more difficult. Will-O-Wisp can cripple a bulky Ground type Pokemon trying to switch in, making Great Tusk and Garchomp easier to handle.

Tera Rock can boost Head Smash, Tera Flying can remove the weaknesses to Fighting, Ground and Water.

One partner that I found to be good with Hisuian Arcanine is Rotom-Wash, as it synchronizes greatly with Arcanine-H's horrible defensive typing, with its Water resistance and Ground immunity. It has the ability to safely bring in Arcanine with Volt Switch, and threatens bulky Grounds with Hydro Pump damage.

Sweeper
Arcanine-Hisui @ Life Orb/Choice Band
Ability: Rock Head
Tera Type: Grass
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Head Smash
- Flare Blitz
- Tera Blast
- Extreme Speed

Hisuian Arcanine goes from bad to good due to Terastallization. Tera grass is its best option for countering its past weaknesses of which it then replaces for weaknesses that it can already counter. However, the only weakness that it can't counter after terastallization is poison so be aware of that. Rock Head prevents you from taking recoil from its 2 strongest moves (those being Flare Blitz and Head Smash). Extreme Speed gives Arcanine priority allowing it to get quick and efficient KOs after opposing team members are worn down (unless your opponent has a priority move or if psychic terrain is up).

Recommendations

Any Pokemon that can check poison types like Toxapex or Glimmora will greatly be appreciated. It has a priority move but due to its speed it still needs a sticky web user (preferably Ribombee, Vikavolt, or Spidops).
